Rogue
Review Submission Guidelines:
We’re
looking for a few good creators. Artists and writers
are needed to help us maintain content in Rogue Review.
All work is done on a volunteer basis; however, you
can join the 3p2c.com’s Pigs in a Carpet studio
for potential freelance work. Still want to be part
of the magic? Cool, just read the following to learn
how:
Rogue Review:
Rogue Review is an electronic journal-formatted web
publication that takes an in-depth look at pop culture
— namely Sci-fi, Fantasy, Horror, Gaming, Comics,
Toys, Etc. — from a roguish point of view.
Writers:
Articles written for Rogue Review require a bit of an
attitude and a roguish flare. Straight textbook-like
write-ups will NOT be accepted. As per everything in
Rogue, works featured in our articles are to be examined
from a fresh roguish angle. New information should be
revealed about said topics that may not seem obvious
on a casual pass by…but upon closer examination
seem oh-so-clear.
Also, personal bias is encouraged here. The topic of
discussion must have, at sometime in your life, touched
you, the writer, in a specific way. It’s important
that these personal experiences be shared with the readers,
be they positive, negative, or just bizarre. This will
give readers a relaxed and comfortable feeling…as
if they are reading something written by a friend. Rogue
will always attempt to cover items in a down-to-earth
manner, instead of talking over our readers’ heads.
This does not mean Rogue will insult our readers’
intelligence either; the writer is to assume that the
reader is on par with his or her peers.
Articles
in Rogue are to be well researched, and all sources
are to be cited. Be informed, don’t fudge your
facts! If you find something you’ve never heard
before about a topic, back it up with a second source.
And give credit where credit is due. If you learn something
relevant while surfing the net because others did the
work, cite them as a source. To quote Admiral Kirk,
“Its better for me, its better for you…its
better for them.”
Subjects
for review run the full gamut from books (Pulp Matters)
to video games (Under a Blistering Thumb) to television
episode guides (The Box of Wonder). Additional subjects
up for review include politicians (Party Poopin’),
movies (Moving Violations), websites, gallery showings,
restaurants, and more. Rogue is taking a good hard look
at life, the arts, and entertainment and letting the
public know what’s good and what just plain sucks.
The important thing is that as a Rogue Reviewer you
cut to the chase, back up your crazy theories with fact,
and tell it from the heart. We want YOUR opinions here,
NOT the general consensus.
Other relevant topics include animation, video games,
comics, role playing games, toys, music, pornography
(handled with taste and care), the internet, and any
other legitimate form of entertainment. If you have
access to supplemental materials, such as photos, video
clips etc. please let us know.
Think you’ve got it? Then send us some samples.

Artists:
Rogue Review is looking for a few good painters. Every
three months our topic changes, and with it: Rogue’s
cover image. Each painting is directly related to the
Quarter’s topic of discussion (our first one being
‘Disco Science Fiction’ a.k.a.: the sci-fi
of the ‘70s) Please send us samples of your work
if you want to take a crack at providing us with a killer
cover image, and we’ll get back to you with the
details if we want you to proceed.
Currently, no ‘interior’ art is needed for
Rogue Review. If you are looking to submit comics or
spot illustrations, you need to check out the ‘Bottled
Lightning’ section.
